He's here!

Yes, I finally had the baby! He was born on August 6th at 4:45pm. He entered the world at 19 inches (so they say, but at his one week appointment he had grown 1 and a half inches? I don't think so) and 7lbs 3oz (he had gained 10 oz in one week, though--I wonder how much of that was actually length or not, 'cause he's still skinny as a rail!). He's had a few names so far: birth certificate says Adam Charles, but Thomas really didn't like it, so then it was between Adam Tyrus and Tyrus Adam. Thomas is still making up his mind, but I told him that he had to choose it himself, and do it by the baby's blessing day (Sept 19th). So far he is calling him Tyrus, but still wonders if we should call him Adam. I'm out of it now, because Adam Charles was my pick. He is beautiful, and we will get some more pictures posted soon.

Getting There!

Hey, I went in for my appointment today and got checked. I'm starting to get soft and I'm at a 1. I guess that means that I'm possibly a go for any time in the next 2 weeks. Awesome! I'm excited to hold my little boy and see his face. Love! I'm in love!

Changes

Well, we have now been in our new house for about 3 weeks, and we're still not done figuring out where everything goes. If you know me, this is not surprising. However, because I can take my time, the things that are put away already are well organized. I just want to be sure that everything has a place. If it doesn't...it can't stay. Also, I still have to finish ripping wallpaper off my kitchen walls, painting my house, getting the remainders out of my in-laws' house and cleaning and putting their things back the way they are supposed to be.

My youngest sister, Anjelica, has come to live with us also. She's been here since the end of March. She's 16, a good kid, and a lot of fun. My sister just younger than me, Caitlin, is getting married next weekend! I'm preparing things now to deliver another child in the beginning of August.

All the above things are great, but I think that if I can't get things slowed soon, I might lose my mind!

A new term

Femivore? Are you for real? Why does everything have to have its own 'newfangled' term? Can't it just be what it is? Can't I just be what I am? Sheesh....

Baby Gender: Known

Okay, so new ultrasounds are sooooo much more defined than before. I could see the chambers of the heart with perfect clarity, I could see nose and lips, I could see different parts of the brain, even! It was AMAZING. So, because I was watching, it was pretty obvious that gender is so easily determined now. So, any guesses?

The House

Hey, they accepted our offer for our new house! Yay!!! Now we are signing our lives away and hopefully going to be able to move in soon. Our renters will soon be into our house...in about a week and a half. The carpet cleaner man comes tomorrow. I guess I'd better get over there and wash out those kitchen cupboards!!!

No house remodel

Well, the house remodel is out. Buying a different one is in, and we are hoping to finish inspecting it and make an offer on it soon. We have someone who just signed a lease to rent the house we already own for 2 years. We are trying to do the right things, but it's a bit nerve racking when you're never 100% sure. Just trying to go along and be aware of the feelings the Lord sends our way. I guess we'll see what happens! I'll keep you posted.

PS: I'm finally feeling the baby now. I get my ultrasound in 2 weeks and 2 days. I still haven't decided on whether I'll find out early the gender of the baby. Maybe I'll have them write it down on a piece of paper and have the family take a poll as to how long they think I can take the suspense and not look at the paper!

Concerns about LTL

Some people were concerned about how ripped the LTL ladies are. Here's the thing, Live the Life is about getting your best body. Those ladies want superior muscle. I want a very lean, very strong, very healthy body. I don't feel the need for the veins and all, but their program has gotten me going in the right direction, for the first time.

Also, they really do equip you well with how to keep implementing the program in your life, even after your 12 weeks are up. If you choose to have them continue to generate your meal plans and workouts, they can do that for you.
